Craigieburn Valley Ski Area, Located in the heart of Ski Fields in NZ’s Southern Alps offers Steep narrow chutes, wide open powder bowls and un-crowded runs.

Located only one and a half hours from Christchurch it can also be just a place to take it easy in the awesome vista of the Craigieburn Range. Craigieburn Valley has all this and more for intermediate to advanced off-piste enthusiasts.

There are various ski-touring opportunities beyond the patrolled area, including quick trips into Alan's Basin or Broken River or full day trips. Three high capacity rope tows service a vertical rise of 500m. Terrain at Craigieburn Valley is varied, exciting and challenging with the infamous 600m vertical descent of Middle basin.

Accommodation in the Craigieburn ski area ranges and transfers can be arranged to get you from your resort to the ski fields. Where your looking for a hotel room or self-contained apartment style accommodation, Craigieburn will have all styles of accommodation for a large family or even just a twin share.
